Over on our Civil War blog, my co-worker Chris is writing a series of posts about processing a box of Pasquotank County records and the surprises that he’s found so far. If you’ve ever wanted to know what happens to records after they are transferred from county or state offices to the Archives, his posts are a good place to start. Also, they could be of particular interest to anyone curious about coroner’s inquests in North Carolina, ca. 1867.
I’ll update this post with more links as Chris continues the series:
- Pasquotank County miscellaneous records – hidden history
- Pasquotank County miscellaneous records – hidden history part II (on the coroner’s inquests files)
