Update on the Non-Textual Materials Unit

Like the Search Room and Microfilm Room, the Non-Textual Materials Unit (Photograph/Iconographic Collection) has temporarily relocated to allow for building renovations. The unit is now open by appointment in the State Records Center, 215 North Blount Street, Raleigh, NC, directly behind the State Archives/State Library building and across the street from the main entrance to the Executive Mansion.

The building renovations that have necessitated this relocation will ultimately vastly improve all of our facilities and programs; however, in the short term, reference and copy services including photograph duplication may be periodically disrupted and response time to reference requests may be slower than usual. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have questions or anticipate problems, please do not hesitate to contact Kim Cumber, Non-Textual Materials Archivist.
